NEW SONG: “NoBody is a Product” – a powerful eco-female-animal conscious anthem with a contemporary edgy pop-rock vibe

“Don’t preach love to me with cruelty on your plate…..

You cannot love animals and eat animals
Cannot love the planet that way

You cannot love the planet and eat animals
There’s a price we all will pay. No, no, no

I’m a woman with a passion
I turn my grief into art

Until all beings are free, none of us are free.”

Inspired by Billie Eilish’s recent words “You cannot love animals and eat them” . A catchy, edgy pop-rock vibe with guitar hooks & contemporary sensibility.
Listen now and get ready to rock out about caring for animal and women’s rights, the planet & kindness!
Audio only available on Spotify, Apple and Amazon at “Dakini Songs”.
Previously, when I had searched online for songs about being vegan/vegetarian there were very few. My favourite “Meat is Murder” by the Smiths, still stands out as the most powerful and brilliant, musically and lyrically.
With a vibe and energy of female musical artists like PJ Harvey, Alanis Morissette, Billie Eilish, and The Smiths “Meat is Murder”, the guitar hooks and riffs create an electric atmosphere, with an edgy bass and contemporary pop sensibility. Something to rock out and dance to, and sing along!
The lyrics and message are a statement of love, passion and caring about animals, women and the planet. How flesh cannot and should not be bought or sold like a product. How we cannot love animals and the planet and say we love them.
In the same way the bodies of women and the planet are not disposable “bodies” to be sold, consumed and trashed. Hence the name NoBody (double meaning intended!) is a Product. May we treat all living beings with respect and kindness. As the song goes: “Until all Beings are free, none of us are free.”
Vocals, melody and arrangement: Adele Tomlin
Instrumentals and Production: Suno
LYRICS

“I was born with a body they said should stay quiet
Smile through the fire
Make peace with the violence
But I heard the forest crying, heard the oceans choke
Saw the mothers of all species treated like a joke
Don’t tell me compassion is too much to demand
I have blood in my heart, not blood on my hands

You cannot love animals and eat them
Cannot call it kindness while they die
Cannot love women and abuse and lie
Cannot call it care while the mothers cry
You cannot love the planet and eat animals
While the burning earth asks why

I’m a woman with compassion
A greenhearted rebel soul.

I won’t be silenced. I won’t be sold

NoBody is a product. No life is property
Liberation means all beings free

They said women are too angry, too soft, too loud, too wild. Too wild
Every revolution was once somebody’s child
I stand with the cows, with the rivers and trees
With every stolen mother begging to be free
Don’t preach love to me with cruelty on your plate
The future is watching and it won’t wait

You cannot love animals and eat them
Cannot call it kindness while they die
Cannot love women and abuse andlie
Cannot call it care while the mothers cry
You cannot love the planet and eat animals
While the burning earth asks why

I’m a woman with a brilliant earth-defending flame
I won’t bowdown. I won’t play the game

NoBody is a product
No life is property. No life is property. Liberation means all beings free. Free. Free

For the hens in cages
For the fish in the sea
For the girls told silence is femininity
For the land turned desert
For the skies turned hot gray
For the ice snows melting
I choose love in action every single day

You cannot love animals and eat animals
Cannot love the planet that way

You cannot love the planet and eat animals
There’s a price we all will pay. No, no, no

I’m a woman with a passion
I turn my grief into art

NoBody is a product. No life is property
Until all beings are free
None of us are free

Until all beings are free
None of us are free.”
