Happy to announce another new website section (created a few weeks ago) for articles and translations connected to HE 9th Khyungpo Gyalton Rinpoche (whom I first personally met in May 2025 in Hanoi, Vietnam) and whose teachings I then also attended in Taiwan and Europe:
“The previous incarnations of Khyungpo Gyalton Rinpoche were the spiritual head and leaders of the “Gyalton Kagyu” lineage, a sub-branch of the Karma Kagyu lineage. The 8th Khyungpo Gyalton Rinpoche, Ugyen Jigme Choekyi Sangye, was born in 1908 in the Khyungpo Gyalton region of Kham, Eastern Tibet. He is considered as the incarnation of Saltong Shogom, an incarnation of one of Gampopa’s three main disciples, known as “the three men of Kham”. And was a disciple of HH 11th Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa, Pema Wangchuk Gyalpo, and Jamyang Khyentse Chokyi Lodro (for a translation of the latter’s “”life-stability” supplication for Gyalton Rinpoche see pdf e-book details below).
For a fuller biography of the current 9th Gyalton Rinpoche, see here.
Although, it was only a few months in his presence (and I have attended many teachings and empowerments over the past fifteen years or so), Rinpoche left a profound, blissful and lasting impression with his humility, understated elegance, pith instructions, vajra power and commitment/samaya, which has continued inseparably, physically present or not. He is what one might call “a hidden gem” indeed. Fluent and proficient in English and yet “down-to-earth” and not pompous, Rinpoche is an “experiential” guru teaching non-verbally by example and realisations. Words become less important or necessary in his presence, which naturally draws one into the great bliss-emptiness union of method and wisdom.

[1] when I asked Rinpoche why this was a few months back, he told me that people had started saying Gyalton and so it had become a habit, but that Gyaton was the correct spelling
