These short verses were published in Tibetan by the Layjang Facebook page yesterday. They are some inspiring words written by the 8th Karmapa, Mikyo Dorje for the Kagyu lineage masters. It does not say the source text name or location. It was also accompanied with this image of the footprints of the 3rd Karmapa, Rangung Dorje. The 1st and 2nd Karmapas are depicted next to the 3rd Karmapa in the middle. I translated it in and compiled it during one hour today, as I thought people might appreciate reading it in English!
“Heartfelt inspiration for the Kagyu” – Verses by 8th Karmapa[1]

བརྒྱུད་པ་གཞན་ལ་འགྲམ་ཆུ་མི་ལྡང་བ། །
Not thirsting for other lineages,
འགྲོ་མགོན་དྭགས་པོའི་བཀའ་བརྒྱུད་བྱིན་རླབས་ཅན། །
The Drogon Dakpo Kagyu[2] lineage is blessed.
ཡོངས་འཛིན་གཞན་གྱིས་སེམས་ཁ་མི་ལྷོངས་པའི། །
Not pining for other tutors,
སངས་རྒྱས་སྤྲུལ་སྐུའི་བླ་མ་ཐུགས་རྗེ་ཅན། །
The enlightened Buddha manifestation [tulku] is compassionate.
དམ་ཆོས་གཞན་ལ་ཡིད་སྨོན་མི་དགོས་པའི། །
Not wishing for other sacred Dharma,
ནཱ་རོ་མཻ་ཏྲིའི་གདམས་ངག་ཡིད་ལ་གཅགས། །
The instructions of Nāropa and Maitri are cherished.
སྒྲ་བསྒྱུར་སོ་སྐྱེའི་ཞུ་དག་མ་དགོས་པར། །
Not needing corrections[3] by ordinary translators
དགྱེས་རྡོར་མར་པ་ལོ་ཙཱས་གཏན་ལ་ཕབ། །
Marpa the Translator established Hevajra[4].
བརྒྱུད་པ་བཅུ་གསུམ་བར་དུ་བྱིན་བརླབས་པའི། །
The one whose blessings lasted thirteen lineages,
མཁའ་འགྲོའི་དབང་ཕྱུག་མི་ལའི་དངོས་གྲུབ་མཚར། །
Master of Dakinis, the miraculous accomplishments of Milarepa.
སྲིད་པ་ཐ་མའི་བྱང་སེམས་རྫུ་འཕྲུལ་ཅན། །
The ultimate Bodhisattva with magical powers,
མཉམ་མེད་དྭགས་པོ་དཔོན་སློབ་ཉིད་དུ་གསལ། །
The incomparable Dakpo [Gampopa] is clearly the master.
ངན་སོང་མི་ཟད་བར་དུ་རྟག་པའི་སྐུ། །
The eternal form, until the exhaustion of the lower realms,
དཔལ་ལྡན་ཀརྨ་པ་དེའི་མཛད་པ་ཡིན། །
Is the glorious Karmapa’s activities.
བདག་ཀྱང་དེ་ཡི་རྗེས་སུ་འཇུག་རློམ་ནས། །
Proud that I also follow after them,
སྙིང་ཁུང་རུས་པའི་གཏིང་ནས་དང་བ་སྐྱེས། །
Generates inspiration from the depths of my heart.
དཔལ་ལྡན་ཀརྨ་པ་དེའི་མཛད་པ་ཡིན།
