Happy to announce the launch of my new personal website, Adeletomlin.com, to complement the Dakini Translations website.
Due to demand, this new website gives a simple presentation of my independent publications, books, articles, websites, podcasts, interviews, talks and personal photos in one place. The front page has a sample of the many inspiring and positive quotes I have received from people (see if you can spot yours)! I may add a section for personal posts later.

l I’M SELLING A TRUNGPA TREASURE, not for myself, I hasten to add, but to raise money for a friend/student in great need just now. This calligraphy (hard to photograph because of reflections from glass) measures 26 x 39 cms (inc. frame). It was done in the second half of the 1960s and given to Josie Wechsler, who at the time was helping Trungpa Rinpoche when he was in London. I think he stayed over at her place at times. She told how he would love to dress formally to go to the opera but still couldn’t be bothered to take off the silk pyjamas he’s been wearing (I think she made or bought those – a good seamstress), so the red silk pyjama legs would peek out from the bottom of his smart black suit. Josie later became Ani Pema. She bought the Purelands property and donated it to Akong Rinpoche and lived there until, being less mobile and needing more support, she moved into Samye Ling itself. It was at that time that she gave us this picture. It has been gracing the wall of our log cabin for over 30 years. I am selling it to the highest bidder, with a reserve price of $1,200 (US). Sale closes on Full Moon, 28th October, unless circumstances change. Postage extra. My own projections: The ink block to me immediately evokes two things: a rabbit and the shape of the United Kingdom. The fainter right-hand curves look like a last-minute addition to make to UK outline. CTR came to the UK in a Rabbit year. The UK/rabbit head looks back (East) to Tibet but the arms are open ahead, to the west and perhaps USA. The gold spots: well, some are Oxford/London and one further up is getting on towards Scotland. The others: no idea! The new owner is free to make their own projections or absence of projections. Please PM me on Messenger with offers and I would be obliged if those of you with CTR disciple friends would share this with them. It is a unique opportunity to have an early, signed original from his own hand.
