Today, on Dakini Day, we are all fortunate to have the opportunity to watch and listen to HH 17th Gyalwang Karmapa (supreme lineage head and root of the Karma Kagyu lineage) beginning a month long online online live teaching programme from 18th August to 17th September (GMT 10-11.30am, IST 3-5.30pm) . See detailed schedule here:

As an offering before that teaching, here is another short video clip I made from Day 11 of this year’s teaching of the 17th Karmapa’s Fifty Verses on the Guru, in which the Karmapa explains that the Tantras recommend students treating a guru’s objects, resources and property as precious as their own life, and not to use or give them according to one’s own ideas and thoughts about what the guru wants. That one should always act in accordance with the guru’s wishes and people should not administrate or use property of the guru without clear advice and instructions from them to use it that way:
Music? Playing in the Blissful Lotus Heart (Karmapa Khyenno) mantra composed and sang by Adele Tomlin (2025), Long-Life Aspiration for Karmapa, Magnetising (Wangdu) Aspiration chanted by 17th Gyalwang Karmapa (2023).
May the 17th Karmapa’s teachings and activities go well, may his life be long and may the Karma Kagyu legacy and teachings flourish and prosper!
