Wishing all women and girls a happy, loving, fun, blissful International Women’s Day today, March 8th! And a Happy Holi Spring Colours Festival for those in India!
As you know, two of the aims of this website was to be the first female-founded, and authored Dharma translations and research website and to produce high quality, original, at times provocative, challenging and yet accessible work connected to female practitioners, artists, teachers, scholars, writers and more. Many women (and men) have written to me to tell me how much they appreciate the work, particularly in relation to females.

I have designed an image for today using the classic symbol for women (and their vaginas) the lotus. The colour purple has been used as purple is one of the colours used for the day and the Venus symbol with a cross has also been incorporated.
